PORT EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE

Course Objective

  • Service electrical and electronic circuits of port equipment.

  • Diagnose faulty electrical components and systems in port equipment to ascertain the nature and location of defects.

  • Service diesel engines including engine cylinder heads.

  • Disassemble, wholly or partly, port equipment, to remove damaged or worn parts.

  • Test port equipment, including troubleshooting, tuning and carrying out necessary adjustments.

  • Conduct port equipment electrical performance tests.

  • Carry out basic repairs of crane electrical and electronic control systems.

  • Familiarization with the equipment and trained with basic QC & RTG fundamental knowledge.
